Former Round Barn PGA Professional Lyle Lingenfelter
has designed a series of putters under the Intelligent
Design name and has limited quantities available for retail
distribution. The 3 models (Believe, Trust, Expect) provide 3 slightly varied balance points to accomadate different stroke types and are available in either bead blasted silver or flat black oxide. Each head is available with or without a sightline. The 303 stainless steel putters are 100% made in the United States right down to the epoxy, grip tape, solvent and paint fill! The computer programming work is being done locally by JE Engineering (Jeff Elliot) and the putters are being milled at Machined Castings (Monte Hoffman), also in Rochester, Indiana. Headcovers with the Intelligent Design Logo and magnetic closure are made by Delilah’s Headcovers in Evansville, IN. A complete list of USA Components will be available.
The design specifics will be presented fully in a pamphlet and a short video demonstrating the benefits will be posted as well. Custom options are available for the milling of a name on the heel or toe area of the putter face although this milling has to be planned and done in small batches about every 3-4 months.
Prototype putters have already won several college events, IGA Mountain Dew events, IGA Prep events and been played at the IHSAA State Finals. One PGA Tour Professional has tested the putter as well
